Came across with this joke

"One time a guy handed me a picture of himself, and he said, "Here's a picture of me when I was younger." Every picture of you is of when you were younger. Here's a picture of me when I am older. You son of a bitch, how'd you pull that off? Let me see that camera..."

Well I cancelled my plans to Dallas coz I did not get anyone to accompany me driving up there. But... I did save my money on car insurance... hehueue ....*jayus

STAND-UPS

I watched this show on Comedy Central the 100 greatest stand-up comedians. Basically it's one of those list shows that I usually love to follow, but of course it is not one of those absurd made up list that VH1 usually compiled. I came across this comedian named George Wallace. Here's his lines... "I went to McDonalds the other day and my total was 2.78 and I gave the cashier 3 dollars and 3 pennies and as expected all hells break loose *crowd laughter*, the cashier said "what's with all these pennies? I don't need any of these pennies.." Of course all I want to do was to get a quarter back *crowd laughing*."

There were a lot of those great stand-up in the list as expected. There was no Conan O'Brien in the list though. I'm pretty disappointed by that, but his stand-up in his show is not that great anyway. Dave Chapelle whose show is so so hilarious stayed at #43. Meanwhile, Jerry Seinfeld whose sitcom is a classic put himself in #12. The late Richard Pryor got the nod at #1. The full list can be seen in here

Ahh..THE ROCKETS

Houston Rockets finally won a playoff game yesterday. It is pretty long overdue. They deserve to win in game 1. They have a chance to win in game 2 with Shaq getting into foul troubles. In game 3, the three-point shooting is really the weapon that put them on top. Cuttino Mobley got hot from downtown while keeping Kobe in check the whole game. Kobe shot 33% up to game 3 of the playoff. Steve Francis played one of his best game in his life, flirting with triple-double (27 pts, 9 reb, 7 ast). Yao Ming played his normal game that day (18 pts 10 reb) and managed to play Shaq one on one. This give a chance for the Rockets to double team Kobe. Looking at the first three games, I actually believe that Rockets has a chance, except if Karl Malone and Payton managed to take over games.

I missed my Friday prayer today! well yesterday technically. How could that happened? On Thursday I drove J up to Houston to pick up his extended passport. My car's compressor has not been functioning for awhile and needs to be changed. The cost for this job would be very very expensive as the price of the compressor itself can reach about 500 bucks. So my car's AC is not cold at all. The temperature on Thursday peaked at about 87 F (29 C). I already promised J to drive him up to H-town so there we went. It was a very very hot driving condition and I was really sweating big time. Hey, it's still better than rotting myself up at home. We arrived at H-town at about 3 PM. We found out that his passport is not done yet ? What the heck? The Konjen guy has promised him the passport would be ready by the April the 16th. It was the 22nd. This is really typical slow Indonesian bureaucracy. Well, after all the talking and stuff we managed to get the passport at the same day. Ate some Indonesian Ayam Panggang at this place called Ricebowl in Westheimer and Highway 6. Got home at 7:30 PM and I was really exhausted. Fell asleep for about 4 hrs and woke up at 1 AM. Because I woke up in the middle of the nite I could not get to sleep until 9 AMish. ugh..ugh. Set my alarm at noon...of course I could not wake up. So there goes my appointment with Allah.. he he

Today, I just found out that Wiranto has been elected to be the Indonesian president candidate from the most powerful party Golkar. Hearing this news, I was pretty shocked. The more shocking thing is that some of my friends actually supports his candidacy. What the heck? What happen to my Indonesia? Don't they all know that this guy is considered as an alleged war criminal by UN. Yes, by UN. It's not like CIA or Western Intelligence or something like that, it's the UN.

I don't really know what direction my country going right now. The election will be on early July. I still don't have a definite candidate to elect. Probably I would put that Amien Rais guy on top because he is a pretty clean figure, a very educated guy (he got his Master degree from University of Illinois Chicago) and his commitment to reformation is pretty well documented. The problem is that a lot of Indonesian have a trouble recognizing this guy's good traits. When he announced that he will be running for President, some Indonesian called him ambitious and arrogant. When he impeached Gus Dur, people say he stabbed Gus Dur's back without recognizing the fact that more than 80% of the parliament was against Gus Dur and so on. So this guy probably will not win the election.

This probably left me with SBY who has been hyped as the best candidate. The way this guy rise up to the candidacy kind of scares me. It reminds me on how Megawati first breakthrough to the political scene. It was from sympathy. People sympathize how SBY being left out and applauded him for resigning from his office. Well, I think it is not a great or courageous feat. I have never heard much about him before that incident. His military background kind of scares me too. Some people accused him (as No.2 in Jakarta Garrison) on helping plan a raid the PDI-P's offices that killed 5 reformists and many more were lost.

O well...The election is still in a couple of months..Let's hope that Wiranto guy will not win.

Ahhh, lazy days being unemployed.......

Uncertainties everywhere.......

but you know, Friendster kind of helps :D... well I miss my ex-roomie too... probably want to go to Dallas this weekend, watching some stand-ups....that would be pretty fun.

I spend too much time playing this CM game...getting too addictive...yea this game is pure pure evil... so I advise everyone of you not to play this game coz it will take your social life away :D

Talking about friendster, this friend-making website is so awesome. I know everyone of you aware of that. I actually get to find my long lost kindergarten friends. I even actually forgot a few of them when they added me. There was one person who looked unrecognizable when she added me, and then I looked at her email and I was like "Ouwww..Is that really you?." Well I haven't seen most of these people for like 8 or 9 years.

I know I have changed a lot during the course of that years. Especially from junior high to senior high when I moved to public school. It was basically the starting over period for me. It was long overdue. I felt like in my junior high I did not have that many friends, and I felt that I can probably start over and be more extrovert.

The great thing about going to the public school is that I can actually met normal people, not so rich people, people with variety of issues. I can get to feel how hard some of these people have to work just to be able to go to school....High school. A lot of these guys were very affable, unlike some of my classmate in my old school who were sort of bourgeois snobbish type of people. People who pretty much say "Hey, my dad got a lot of money, and I'm rich biatch!" :D. Well, so there it goes, my high school days turned out pretty much to be the best days.

Never forgot the days when we demonstrate against the impeachment of our Headmaster even though we hardly even know him... and we actually demonstrate in the rain, wow that was really some experience. I still remember him actually joining us.

I still remember when we demonstrate for impeachment of one of our teacher for "sexual harassment" although the real reason was to get more day off from school :D

I still remember when we flattened the new headmaster's tires because he tried to enforce some new rules that I don't even remember right now

I still remember when we went tawuran (brawl? :P) after Friday prayer and then we were chased by the police and we ran into Blok M Plaza trying to hide and pretend to read comics

I still remember the days when I walked out of class just to play domino (gaple) in front of the school.

I still remember the days when me and all the men walked out of class to go to my place and watched some bokep!! (yeah porn :P).

I still remember the days when I rode the bus and some school boy actually came to me and showed the knife and took away my Led Zeppelin cassettes. And you know what, about 5 days later my friend told me he saw the cassettes in Taman Puring, ahahhahahahah.

Ahh I think I'm getting too nostalgic, but you get the point right? ;)
